When we make changes using PSYCH-K, we’ve blazed a trail in the subconscious mind where none previously existed. By making and following an action plan, we can wear that trail into a well-traveled road.
The actions in an action plan typically take one of the three following forms:
Project tasks: The things you’re going to need to do in order to achieve that goal you’re after, be it increasing your income, buying a house, or starting a business. Find an excellent set of templates for various goals along with suggested tasks on the blog, Goals On Track.
Repeating actions: See also habits. Identifying and then doing mission critical repeating actions is a terrifically useful tool for improving relationships, eating habits and money management (to name just a few). There are a ton of online resources for building and maintaining habits, so I’ll just offer this recent blog post, The 5 Triggers That Make New Habits Stick, by the estimable James Clear to get you started. Spoiler alert: The triggers he mentions are time of day, location, feelings, events, and people.
Rituals: These are the most PSYCH-K of actions. Often in this work, we are working to program something intangible things, such as self-confidence, compassion, or trust in the Universe. Rituals of reinforcement are both a good standalone way to signal to the subconscious mind that, yes, Virginia, this really is the new program, and they are also a good way to soothe the conscious mind after we’ve installed new beliefs using PSYCH-K. The best ritual is one that’s meaningful for you. It can be an action with meaning — for example, I like to mindfully tip well to remind myself that I am, in fact, the very soul of prosperity– or a mantra you repeat to yourself, an altar in the corner of the room, a vision board, or something you buy that celebrates the new reality: I have it on my list to buy a baby item for the child I have programmed my subconscious mind to assume I’ll be having soon.
